TEWS TECHNOLOGIES TIP866-10R 是一块 IndustryPack 规格的八通道 RS232 串行接口板，主要给嵌入式系统扩展多路串口用。它本身是 IP 模块，得插在载板上工作，通过 50 针扁平电缆连到转接模块才能把八个串口引出来。

TEWS Technologies TIP866-10R is an eight channel RS232 serial interface board with Industry Pack specifications, mainly used for expanding multiple serial ports in embedded systems. It is an IP module and needs to be plugged into the carrier board to work. It can only be connected to the adapter module through a 50 pin flat cable to bring out the eight serial ports.
Product Features
Eight channel RS232
One board provides eight independent RS232 serial ports, each with RxD, TxD, RTS, CTS, and GND. Channels 1 and 2 also have DTR, DSR, DCD, and RI.
Independent FIFO for each channel
Each channel is equipped with a 64 byte transmit FIFO and a 64 byte receive FIFO. The trigger threshold is programmable, which can reduce the overhead of CPU serving the transceiver.
The baud rate is individually adjustable
Each channel baud rate is independently programmed, with a maximum of 115.2 kbaud. Use ST16C654 four channel UART with two chips and eight ports.
ESD protection
RS232 transceiver with electrostatic protection, air discharge positive or negative 15 kV, contact discharge positive or negative 6 to 8 kV.
auto-configuration
There is an Identification PROM on the board, which automatically recognizes the configuration after the carrier board is powered on, without the need to manually set jumper wires.

This TIP866-10R is a pure RS232 version. If longer distances or better anti-interference are required on-site, RS422 is more suitable for the same series of TIP866-20R. In addition, it is an IP module and requires a carrier board and adapter module to be used in practice.
