SFor distances over 10 feet, the +5 volt DC logic power source must be provided externally by connecting an external power supply to the +5V and SG (0V) connections at the converter end of the cable. The +5V pin at the PLC connector end of the cable must not be connected to the cable. The +5V and SG connections from the external power supply must be isolated from its own power line ground connection.
