For examp it could be APM A B etc. Press the Enr key. The new SNP ID will be writn the and the CURRENT ID field on your screen will upda show this new SNP ID. Repeat the above sps for ea that is on the multidrop sysm. If assigning an SNP ID a you must use the appropria software. See the for the for instructions. Connecting your Logicsr Programmer a on a Multidrop Sysm Connect your programmer the programmer connection for the multidrop sysm. From the Logicsr in Menu sect F Logicsr Configuration Package. Sect F Programmer Mode and Setup. Sect F Sect Connections. In the SECD SNP ID field enr the SNP ID of the or device you wish munica with. In the PORT CONNECTION field sect MULTIDROP. Press F setup connect the secd . You should connect the secd within a few seconds. If you cant connect see the next section. Q Appendix I SNP Multidrop I I SNP Multidrop Troubshooting If you are having troub connecting a or over the multidrop sysm eck the following: Is there a probm with all s or only one? Try connecting other s over the multidrop sysm. If you cant connect any eck for a mon probm su as a defective cab. If you can connect all but one use the direct connection method described in the next paragraph. Also if you only have a probm with the last on the multidrop link the last section of cab y have a probm. Or perhaps you can connect all s up a certain point but ne beyond that point. This would also strongly suggest that there is a probm in a section of cab. SNP ID y be incorrect. You y t be ab connect because you are specifying the wrong SNP ID. If you are t sure of a ’s correct SNP ID and would like eck it you can connect your programmer directly the ’s programmer port and read its SNP ID from the software’s ASSIGN ID screen as described in Assigning an SNP ID a with Logicsr above. ke sure you ange the programming software’s connection method Direct for this st. When set for Direct connection the software will munica with a directly connecd without regard its SNP ID. settings y t t. If the ’s serial port munication settings and the programming software’s munication settings do t t they will t be ab munica. These settings include su things as BAUD Ra Parity Sp Bits etc. If you suspect this be the probm try connecting directly the as described above in SNP ID y be incorrect. If you cant connect directly there y be a munication settings mist. If so try setting the programming software its default munication settings. Multidrop y t be secd as the connection method. The default connection method in the programming software is Direct whi requires that you be connecd directly a or ’s programmer port. If this default setting is t anged Multidrop you will t be ab connect a secd SNP ID over a multidrop sysm. You y have a hardware probm. Inspect the multidrop cab; it y be d incorrectly daged or disconnecd. A y be loose on one of the s. Also eck the status of the you are trying connect . It y t be powered up; it y be spped; or it y have some other probm. Elimi the itself as a possib probm by connecting your programmer directly the ’s programmer port. You should be ab munica with a using this direct connection even if the programming software is configured for Multidrop as long as the SNP IDs t.
