The discrete output changes state if both beam 40 AND beam 20 are blocked. If the controller is set in relative/size mode (DIP switch S1:2 = ON), the discrete output (Out 1) changes state if any beam is interrupted. • Instead of using the actual object to be detected for the teach process, the appropriate beams may be interrupted by other means during the teach process, such as a metal flag.
