This configuration allows ignoring brief beam interruptions. When dual scan mode is used, the response time increases. Instructional Note The analog output is automatically scaled to the length of the connected array. If there is no beam interruption, the analog output is the minimum value (4 mA or 0 V); If the top (last) beam is interrupted (in absolute/position mode) or all beams are interrupted (in relative/size mode), the analog output is at the maximum value (20 mA or 10V) and has a linear slope between these states. This means that most applications do not need to configure devices. For applications that require custom scaling output, use the following instructional steps. If there is no beam interruption, the minimum analog output value (4 mA or 0V) in the operation mode indicates that there is no beam interruption. 3. Set the maximum analog output (20 mA or 10V) to place the object represented by the maximum analog output in the array. Press and release the Teach button. The status indicator D15 now flashes three times every three seconds, indicating that any interrupted beam has been identified. If there is no beam interruption, the maximum analog output value (20 mA or 10V) in operation mode indicates that there is no beam interruption. 4. Completion of teaching To complete the teaching process, press and hold the teaching button until the status indicator D15 goes out (about 5 seconds), which means that the teaching process is over. The set value is saved in non-volatile (flash) memory. Alternatively, press the setting button briefly to discard the newly set value.
