In the most extreme case, TCP communication between PME and remote ETM001 cannot be maintained. This problem is not very common in local TCP connections. However, it can still happen under the right conditions. This issue was corrected in firmware version 6.42. This problem does not exist in RX3i ETM firmware versions before 6.40. As long as the hardware configuration contains the generated EGD switch DE4116, the Ethernet interface may be locked after a power failure cycle. An error condition has been found, in which ETM001 may not establish communication on the network due to the locking condition after the power failure cycle in rare cases. When a lockout condition occurs, the LEDs on the module are active, except for the LAN OK LED. The status of the LAN OK LED may be on or off, but it never flashes when a lockout occurs. In addition, no faults in the controller fault table indicate any problems. Finally, this error condition usually occurs in modules configured to generate EGD exchanges. This issue was corrected in firmware version 6.42.
