    Installation alternatives, calculation of force and calculation of winding gain c.5.1 Horizontal installation In most cases, horizontal installation is the most obvious and simplest solution. The PFTL 301E load cell measures the horizontal force applied to its top surface. The load cell can be measured in two directions. The force applied vertically will not be measured and the horizontal measurement will not be affected. Divide the total horizontal force FRtot by 2 to obtain the required capacity of each load cell. Since the load cell has sufficient overload capacity, do not make the ABB load cell too large.
