Manual description
This user manual describes your new MeasureIT network tension system. After reading this manual, you will master the necessary knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, operation, preventive maintenance and basic fault tracking of the measurement system. In order to obtain the best reliability and accuracy of the measurement system, please study this user manual first. 1.2 How to use this manual This user manual consists of two main parts. 1. Tension electronics information: - System and safety information (Chapter 1) - Installation, commissioning, maintenance, operation and fault tracking (Chapter 2-6) - Technical data (Appendix A) 2. Information on designing the load cell installation: - Vertical force sensing load cell PFCL 301E (Appendix B) - Horizontal force sensing load cell PFTL 301E Getting Started Using Tension Electronics PFEA111/112.1.2.1 You can use the quick setup sequence to set up the system for basic measurements. Quick Setup guides you through the minimum steps to set up the tension electronics. Perform the operations in the following sections: • Section 3.6 Step by step debugging guide • Section 3.7 Perform basic setup • Section 3.8 Perform quick setup For extended functions, use "Perform complete setup". Refer to Section 3.11 for complete setup. 1.2.2 When debugging, save the actual data and settings After debugging, you can use the form in Appendix F to fill in the actual debugging data and settings and save them for future use.
About this system Your tension measuring system includes:
• Tension Electronics PFEA111 or PFEA112 – PFEA111 is a cost-effective, compact, user-friendly tension electronics device that provides accurate, reliable and fast analog SUM signals from two load cells for control and/or monitoring. The display can display SUM, individual A&B and differential signals. The small size and DIN rail installation make it easy to integrate the device into various types of electrical cabinets – PFEA112 provides the same functionality and user friendliness as PFEA111, and adds field bus communication via Profibus DP. Tension Electronics covers a wide range of applications. There are three versions (PFEA 113 is described in a separate manual) with different performance and functional levels. All three versions have multilingual digital display and configuration keys. The configuration key is used to set different parameters and check the status of the tension system. The 2 x 16 character display can display the sum, difference or single load cell signal. All three versions are available in DIN rail version (IP 20 version, unsealed) and enclosed IP 65 version (NEMA 4) for installation in harsher environments. • PFCL 301E, PFTL 301E, PFRL 101 and PFTL 101 load cells. This equipment is applicable to various manufacturing processes for transporting any type of material (such as paper, plastic or textile) in the machine. The only requirement is to wrap the web paper on the web paper. The force on the roll is proportional to the web tension. The force generated is transmitted to the load cell through the bearing housing. The load cell generates a signal that is proportional to the force acting in the measuring direction of the load cell. The signal is processed and amplified in tension electronic equipment, and can be used as input signal for process control, display or registration.
