Configurable data and program memory
The RX7i CPU is programmed and configured by programming software to control the machine, process and material handling system in real time. The CPU uses the VME64 standard format to communicate with the I/O and intelligent option modules through a rack mounted backplane. It communicates with programmer and HMI device through embedded Ethernet port or serial port Hot Standby (HSB) redundancy. A redundant CPU and a redundant memory Xchange module (IC698RMX016) are required, which are configured as redundant links in each unit. Contains 64 MB of battery backed user memory and 64 MB of non-volatile flash memory for storing user data (programs, configurations, register data, and symbol variable storage). User configurable redundant IP allows: configuration of EGD switches generated from active and inactive Ethernet interfaces in HSB redundant pairs. In HSB redundant CPU, EGD exchange is generated from Ethernet interface without redundant IP address.
