Power adapter module
This power adapter module (PSA) for the feature IC697 I/O system is a single slot module that plugs into a power slot, which is the leftmost slot in the IC697 rack. The PSA module must be cabled to an external power supply. External power supply can be IC697 power module (see GFK-0717) or other external power supply. The+5,+12 and - 12 VDC outputs from the external power supply and the 5V remote sensing are connected to the IC697 rack backplane through the PSA. Power input voltage
When the+5V output on the backplane is in the regulated state, the LED indicator on the PSA lights up, and the TTL signal from the power supply indicates that the input voltage of the power supply is sufficient to maintain the holding time of the system's orderly shutdown. The TTL signal can be positive logic or negative logic. Two terminals (JP1 and JP0) on the PSA terminal board can be used to select the logic state. If it is positive logic (if TTL=high, the input power supply is normal), jumper is not required; If the logic is negative (if TTL=Low, the input power supply is normal), a jumper is required between terminals JP1 and JP0. The installation power adapter is a single slot module that plugs into the power slot, which is the leftmost slot of the IC697 rack. It is connected to the external power module through a cable connected to the power supply at one end. The free end of the cable shall have spring spades or ring lugs which must be connected to the specified terminals on the power adapter terminal block. This terminal strip can be accessed by opening the hinged door on the power adapter module. The power adapter module door can be easily opened by grasping the upper left corner of the door with your right thumb or fingernail and gently pulling the door toward you. Be careful when opening the door, as pulling from the bottom will cause the hinge or door to break.
