Output characteristics The 24/48 V DC 0.5 Amp output module is compatible with a variety of load devices, such as the solenoid motor starter indicator The 0.5 Amp rating at each point applies to the long-term current capacity at each point. Due to the overall heat dissipation within the module, the maximum current of each group of 8 outputs is limited to 2 amperes. Each output of the module can conduct a surge current far greater than its long-term rated current instantaneously. The repetition frequency of this surge depends on the rated current and duty cycle of the equipment (the percentage of time the equipment is turned on). For typical filament lamp units operating at 50 per cent duty cycle, the following repetition rates apply.
