Local control and status register 1-bit definition
Status LED off – The board contains a user-defined red status LED. Setting this bit to low (0) turns off the LED. After reset, the default state of this bit is high (1), and the LED will light up.: Transmitter Disable – Setting this bit high (2) will manually turn off the transmitter on the circuit board. After reset, the default state of this bit is low (0), and the transmitter is enabled. When the transmitter of the circuit board is "turned on" again by setting this bit back to low (0), an unspecified time must be allowed to turn on the optics.: Dark on Dark Enable – When this bit is set to high (1), if the receiver of the board does not detect a signal or the receiver detects an invalid data mode, the transmitter of the board will turn off. The dark to dark feature is useful in hub configurations.: Loopback Enabled – When this bit is set high (1), the fiber optic transmitter and receiver are disabled and the transmitted signal is looped back to the receiver circuit internally. This allows basic functional testing with or without external cables.

Local Bus Parity Enable – When this bit is set high (1), parity is enabled for all on-board memory accesses. When parity is enabled, only 32-bit L words or 64 bit Q words are allowed to be written to memory. Disable write access in 16 bit words or 8-bit bytes Enable redundancy mode - When this bit is set to high (1), the redundancy mode of network transmission is enabled. This bit is read-only. Redundancy mode can be enabled by removing the jumper shunt between pins 1 and 2 of jumper E5.: Rogue Master 1 enabled - When this bit is set to high (1), the circuit board operates as Rogue Master 1. This bit is read-only. The Rogue Master 1 operation is enabled by removing the jumper shunt between pins 3 and 4 of E5.: Rogue Master 0 enabled - When this bit is set to high (1), the circuit board runs as Rogue Master 0. This bit is read-only. The Rogue Master 0 operation is enabled by removing the jumper shunt between E5 pins 5 and 6. 22: Reserved - These bits are reserved.
