Reflective memory
57120001-ET * is a PMC based member of the reflective memory real-time optical network product family. The PMC board is a small IEEE standardized board, which is installed on the PMC site of the single board computer (SBC) provided. Two or more 57120001-ET and other boards of this series can be integrated into the network using standard fiber optic cables. Each board in the network is called a node. Reflective memory allows computers, workstations, PLCs and other embedded controllers with different architectures and operating systems to share data in real time. VMIxxx-5565 reflective memory series is fast, flexible and easy to operate. Data is transferred through write memory (SDRAM), which appears to reside in all boards on the network. The onboard circuit automatically performs the transmission to all other nodes, with little or no host processor or system involved. The block diagram of 57120001-ET is shown in Figure 1 on page 12.
