标准软盘驱动器控制器

Standard Floppy Drive Controller
The integrated peripheral 3BHE013940R0002 integrates the National Semiconductor Super I/O (SIO) chip. SIO provides 3BHE013940R0002 with a standard floppy disk drive controller, two 16550 UART compatible serial ports, keyboard and mouse ports, and general I/O for system monitoring functions. Both serial port signals are available from the front panel. The floppy disk signal is available through the VME backplane connector and is accessed through the appropriate conversion utility board (VMIACC-0562). The IDE interface is provided by the Intel I/O Controller Hub (ICH2) chip. The IDE interface supports two channels, namely the primary channel and the secondary channel. The secondary channel is routed on the board to the optional compact flash slot. The primary channel is routed from the VME backplane to the VMIACC-0562 conversion utility board, which terminates at the standard 40 pin connector. This channel can support two drives, one master drive and one slave drive. The IDE interface on 3BHE013940R0002 supports ATA-33, ATA-66, and ATA-100 drives, and automatically determines the correct operation mode according to the drive type used. In order to work properly in the ATA-100 mode, a special 80 core cable must be used instead of the standard 40 core cable. This cable is usually available from the ATA-100 drive manufacturer.
Dual network function of Ethernet controller
The dual network function of Ethernet controller is provided by the external Intel 82559ER Ethernet controller and the internal MAC of Intel ICH2 chip. Both Ethernet controllers are PCI based and software configurable. 3BHE013940R0002 supports dual 10BaseT and 100BaseTx Ethernet. 10BaseT network based on 10BaseT standard uses unshielded twisted pair cable, which provides an economical solution for the network by allowing the use of existing telephone lines and connectors. RJ-45 connector is used with 10BaseT standard. The maximum length of 10BaseT is 100 meters. 100BaseTx 3BHE013940R0002 also supports 100BaseTx Ethernet. The network based on 100BaseTx standard uses unshielded twisted pair cables and RJ-45 connectors. The maximum length of 100BaseTx is 100 meters.
